FRIED BREAD


This is a very simple recipe. You can make it with any type of yeast bread sweet or not.
I prefer mine a little sweet and this is my own touch. 
Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm milk
2+1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar 
2 whole eggs
1/2 stick soft butter
1 ts active dry yeast
1 ts vanilla extract
some lemon zest
pinch of salt


To make the dough by bread machine I just place everything in the kneading container and I let the machine work just enough to form the dough. I let it rest in a greased  and covered with plastic wrap bowl for 1 hour I cut the dough in different shapes on a greased counter top and let the cuttings to rest a little more till they'll puff up. I heat cooking oil in a pan and I fry the dough carefully not to splash myself. Fri the cuttings on all the sides by turning them around and placing them on the paper towels to remove any excess grease when are done. Before I plate them I role them in powdered sugar.
It is possible to make the dough in food processor or it can be done by kneading the ingredients with a little milk at the time til the dough is keeping its shape.
